About the Producer
Mitchell’s media career has taken him from CNN International, A+E Networks, Public Television and ABC News to distinguished documentary companies in the United States including Optomen Productions, Storyville Films and Firelight Media, and on to leading non-profit and global organizations.
Mitchell has researched, written, produced and directed content from diverse regions of the world including Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East and has directed his own documentary projects including “There’s No Place Like Shalom” highlighting the journey to spiritual authenticity. His latest documentary about the elderly is currently in pre-production.
Among Mitchell’s group awards are two Emmys, and the prestigious Peabody and Columbia-Dupont awards.
He received his B.F.A. from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and his M.A. in International Relations from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
